William Secker (d 1681) was a Puritan who served as a clergyman in the Church of England. He was also a Christian writer and this book, provides an excellent look on what it means to live a spiritual life. It cannot be read without giving thought to what you read, and without meditating upon the implications of what you read. Based on Matthew 5:47, it pithily sets out Why a Christian should do more than others, and, What a Christian does more than others, inspiring the reader to walk out a consistent Christian life towards God and our fellow creatures.
