1988 marked the 400th Anniversary of the Armada (July 1588) and the 300th Anniversary of 'The Glorious Revolution' when Prince William of Orange landed at Brixham (5th November 1688) and in a bloodless Revolution removed the last of the Stuart Kings and was the means of establishing the Protestant Throne and Constitution of Britain. This book outlines these historical events giving excerpts from the principle documents and discusses the work and reports of the 1st and 2nd Anglican Roman Catholic International Commisions, including the document 'Salvation and the Church'.
