Robert Hawker (1753-1827) was a Vicar of the Anglican Church and the most prominent of the vicars of Charles Church, Plymouth, Devon. His Select Works has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. These include a collection of tracts, or substantial articles and a characteristically tender address to concerned souls, with gospel consolations, plus exhortations to prayer with a diary of daily prayers and promises. Quite unique.
