This selection of twelve addresses to young people covers various topics from Bible characters to aspects of Christian life, all brought forth as the scriptures reveal them. They were originally given at the Croydon Strict Baptist Educational Society Meetings, by different ministers. For a number of years, the recorded addresses were transcribed and available to any who requested them. This has been a labour of love by one of the young friends who has long felt that the transcripts deserved a wider circulation. The book title comes from a hymn in the Young People's Hymnal (YPH 148) which was often sung at the meetings, setting forth the prayerful desire of the Society in seeking light upon the scriptures. Highly recommended.
