Most evangelical hymnbooks contain hymns by Thomas Kelly. He was born in 1769 and spent most of his life near Dublin in Ireland. Opposition to the doctrines of God's free grace which he had been brought to love, both from his archbishop and his own family, eventually caused him to become an independent minister. Having ample means, he built several chapels in the Dublin area and was maintained as a faithful minister of the gospel for 63 years. This is a reprint of the last published edition of all of his hymns, together with a short biography and additional indexes.
