Robert Bolton (1572-1631) once heard the famous William Perkins preach and called him 'a barren empty fellow'. Yet later he was converted and became one of the despised Puritans himself. Living in Broughton in Northamptonshire, he remained preaching and publishing the truth till the end of his life.
