A slim book attractively presenting selections from the sermons, letters and other writings of the famous Scottish reformer. He devoted much of the last part of his life to his History of the Reformation in Scotland and died in 1752. His remains lie in St Giles churchyard  there, covered over today by the stones of the courtyard of Parliament.
